A Life Devoted to Sak Yant
Silas van Gemert (1977, Vlissingen) left the Netherlands for Australia at the age of 17. His search eventually brought him to Thailand, where he lived and worked for 15 years. He learned the Thai language and submitted himself to the discipline of Buddhist monks.
He received the sacred blessing that gives him the right to place Sak Yant tattoos. His spiritual journey also led him to Brazil, Hawaii and Jerusalem.
Today Silas is the leading Sak Yant master in Europe, working from his studio in the center of Breda.
