A Life Devoted to Sak Yant
Silas van Gemert (°1977, Vlissingen) left the Netherlands at 17 to travel to Australia. His spiritual quest led him to Thailand, where he lived and worked for 15 years, learning the Thai language and submitting to the discipline of Buddhist monks.
He received the sacred blessing that grants him the right to place Sak Yant tattoos. His spiritual journey also took him to Brazil, Hawaii and Jerusalem.
Today, Silas is Europe's leading Sak Yant master, working from his studio in the heart of Breda, Netherlands.
A Sak Yant is not just a tattoo. It is an ancient spiritual tradition that can change your life. Silas has guided more than 500 people from across Europe through this unique ritual. Every tattoo is one of a kind — tailored to the person, their intention, and the type of protection they seek.

Are there authentic Sak Yant studios in Belgium?
There are tattoo artists in Belgium who offer Sak Yant-inspired designs, but none that perform the full spiritual ceremony with mantras and sacred blessing. Our Belgian clients therefore come to Breda — just 1 hour from Antwerp.
How do I get from Belgium to Breda?
From Antwerp: E19 toward the Netherlands, exit Breda — 50-60 minutes. From Brussels: E19 via Antwerp, total 1h30. Train: IC from Brussels to Breda, 1h40 direct.
Do you speak French?
We speak Dutch and English. For French-speaking Belgians we communicate via WhatsApp in English or French.
