Strength & Courage

Mang Korn

Twin Dragon with Singha

Two mirrored dragons form a shield of guardianship and authority. This Sak Yant stands for combined strength and the balance of opposing forces.

Meaning & Background

The dragon (Mang Korn) rules over water, sky and the hidden forces of nature and is seen as a keeper of wealth and wisdom. Two dragons mirroring each other double that guardianship and express the balance of opposing forces, reinforced by the lion power of the Singha. The central flames and Khom script anchor authority, steadiness and respect. Together they form a mark of protected power carried with self-control.

More about this design

The Mang Korn Sak Yant with twin dragon and Singha is a powerful guardian design from the Thai yant tradition. Two mirrored dragons and the lion power of the Singha together stand for combined strength, authority and the balance of opposing forces. Where a single dragon or a single Singha stands alone, this composition is about the double guardianship of both creatures at once. In our studio in Breda, next to the Grote Kerk, this design is applied by hand using the handpoke method. Every line is placed point by point, exactly as the Sak Yant tradition prescribes. The result is a symmetrical design with fine detail, central flames and authentic Khom script. Those who choose this Sak Yant seek protected power carried with self-control, made with respect for the craft.

OriginThe dragon and the Singha come from the Thai Buddhist and Brahmin yant tradition, passed down by ajarn masters and temple lineages.
Recommended placementThis wide symmetrical design works best across the back, chest or between the shoulder blades, always above the waist.
